MUST READ
+ Mirror acrylic sheets must be installed using neutral-cure adhesive such as Neutral Silicone Glue (click to view recommended products in Bunnings) or Double-sided Mounting Tape (click to view recommended products in Bunnings). The use of corrosive or solvent-based adhesives may damage the backing and mirror finish.
+ Acrylic mirror sheets exhibit slight optical distortion, which is generally not noticeable in typical signage and decorative applications, when supplied in sizes larger than 600*600mm (3mm thick) or 400*400mm (1.5mm thick). This is a natural material characteristic of all acrylic mirror sheets, as the surface is not perfectly flat like glass.
To minimise distortion, we recommend fixing the acrylic sheet onto a flat MDF backing board. Apply a uniform layer of neutral silicone adhesive to the rear surface and place an evenly distributed flat weight on top until the adhesive has fully cured.
For applications requiring high-precision reflection, a glass mirror sheet is recommended instead of an acrylic mirror.
